Welcome to StubEasy. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the StubEasy website, calculators, any pay stub generator or other services we offer, and related services.

By accessing or using StubEasy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the service.

1. About StubEasy

StubEasy provides online payroll-related calculators and guides. StubEasy's online pay stub generator is not available yet. When offered, our services may include pay stub generation, paycheck calculations, payroll calculations, payroll tax calculations, salary calculations, hourly pay calculations, overtime calculations, 1099-related calculations, W-2-related calculations, PDF document generation, and related tools.

StubEasy is a software service that, when offered, includes document generation. It is not an employer, payroll company, accounting firm, tax adviser, legal adviser, lender, or employment verification service.

A pay stub generated through StubEasy is based on information supplied by the user. StubEasy does not independently verify that the information represents wages actually earned or paid.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to use the StubEasy service in your jurisdiction. If you use StubEasy on behalf of a business, employer, or another person, you confirm that you have the appropriate authority to provide and process the information submitted to the service.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you enter into StubEasy is accurate, complete, and truthful. This includes employer information, employee information, pay dates, pay periods, hours, pay rates, earnings, bonuses, commissions, taxes, deductions, and year-to-date amounts.

You are also responsible for reviewing the generated document before using or downloading it. StubEasy does not independently verify the accuracy of information entered by users.

4. Authorized Use

You may use StubEasy to create documents based on information that you own or are authorized to use. Examples include maintaining personal income records, creating payroll records for your own business, creating records for employees when authorized to do so, recreating records based on genuine earnings information, and personal financial record keeping.

You remain responsible for determining whether a generated document is appropriate for your particular purpose.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use StubEasy to create or use documents intended to misrepresent income, employment, wages, or financial information. Prohibited activities include:

StubEasy may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe the service is being used in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

6. Generated Documents

Documents created through StubEasy are generated from information supplied by the user. A generated pay stub is not independently verified by StubEasy, is not an employer-issued document unless the authorized employer is using StubEasy for its own payroll records, does not independently prove wages were earned or paid, and does not guarantee employment, income, or financial eligibility.

Whether a document is accepted by a bank, landlord, lender, government agency, or employer is determined by that organization. StubEasy does not guarantee that a generated document will be accepted by any third party.

7. Calculations and Tax Information

Calculations are provided as estimates based on information supplied by the user. Actual payroll and tax obligations may depend on circumstances not included in a calculation. Calculations may also change when tax rates, thresholds, or regulations change.

StubEasy does not provide tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. You should consult a qualified professional when you need professional advice regarding payroll or tax matters.

8. Third-Party Services

StubEasy may use third-party providers for payment processing, tax and payroll calculations, hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, infrastructure, and document processing. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those services through StubEasy may also be subject to the applicable third-party terms.

9. Payments

Certain StubEasy features or documents may require payment. Before completing a purchase, the applicable price will be displayed to you. By completing a purchase, you authorize the applicable payment provider to process the transaction. StubEasy does not intend to store complete payment card numbers, CVV codes, or other sensitive card authentication information on its own systems.

10. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the applicable StubEasy product and the refund policy displayed at the time of purchase. For refund requests, contact:

support@stubeasy.com

We may request your order information to locate the transaction and process the request.

11. Accounts

Some StubEasy features may require you to create an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials confidential, protecting access to your account, and not sharing your account in a way that violates these Terms. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the activity resulted from unauthorized access that was not reasonably preventable.

12. Intellectual Property

The StubEasy website, software, branding, logos, designs, text, graphics, interfaces, and other original content are owned by or licensed to StubEasy and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from StubEasy's proprietary content or software without appropriate authorization.

13. Availability of the Service

We aim to keep StubEasy available and functioning reliably, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or compatible with every device or browser. We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, upgrades, or other operational reasons.

14. Accuracy and Service Disclaimer

StubEasy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that calculations will always be error-free, that generated documents will satisfy every third party, that a document will be accepted as proof of income, or that tax calculations will exactly match an employer's payroll system.

You are responsible for reviewing documents and calculations before relying on them.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StubEasy and its operators will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This may include losses resulting from rejection of a generated document, incorrect information entered by a user, reliance on a calculation, loss of access to the service, service interruptions, third-party services, or unauthorized use of an account.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StubEasy and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, information you submit, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, your unauthorized use of another person's information, or your use of generated documents.

17. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to StubEasy if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms, are using the service fraudulently or abusively, are attempting to compromise the service, or your activity creates a security or legal risk.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of StubEasy after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. Privacy

Your use of StubEasy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the StubEasy operating entity, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under the laws of your jurisdiction.
