Get in Touch →Enter an annual salary, or an hourly rate and the hours you work each week. The calculator converts the amount into every common pay period using these formulas:
| Pay period | Formula |
|---|---|
| Hourly | Annual salary ÷ (hours per week × 52) |
| Daily | Annual salary ÷ 260 workdays |
| Weekly | Annual salary ÷ 52 |
| Bi-weekly | Annual salary ÷ 26 |
| Semi-monthly | Annual salary ÷ 24 |
| Monthly | Annual salary ÷ 12 |
At 40 hours a week, that works out to 2,080 paid hours a year. If you enter an hourly rate instead, the annual salary is hourly rate × hours per week × 52.
At 40 hours a week, a ,000 salary equals about $36.06 an hour, $1,442.31 a week, $2,884.62 every two weeks, $3,125.00 twice a month, or $6,250.00 a month.
All results are gross pay before taxes and deductions. They do not include overtime, bonuses, unpaid time off or benefits. To estimate pay after federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and state tax, use the Paycheck Calculator or the Take-Home Pay Calculator. If you are paid hourly with overtime, try the Hourly Pay Calculator.

Get in Touch →A full-time schedule of 40 hours a week for 52 weeks is 2,080 hours a year. Some employers use 2,087 hours (365.25 days ÷ 7 × 40). This calculator uses the hours per week you enter × 52.
Multiply your hourly rate by your weekly hours and by 52. For example, $25 an hour × 40 hours × 52 weeks = $52,000 a year. That is $2,000 gross per bi-weekly paycheck, or $1,000 a week.
Divide your annual salary by the number of hours you work in a year. For a $60,000 salary at 40 hours a week: $60,000 ÷ 2,080 = about $28.85 an hour.
Bi-weekly pay comes every two weeks, which is 26 paychecks a year, so two months each year have three paychecks. Semi-monthly pay comes twice a month (often on the 15th and the last day), which is 24 paychecks a year. Each semi-monthly check is slightly larger.
No. It converts gross pay only. To see estimated federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and state tax on your salary, use the Paycheck Calculator.
